27/11/23 - App And Monster Design
In today's first lesson, I was continuing with my app design.
I had been working on my app throughout the week, so I had improved it since the last class, by adding in the pages to actually play the songs, and make sure that when you press the play button, it causes the progress bar to move along, and stop if you then press the pause button that it will change to. I also scaled down this progress bar and play/pause button, so that on my main screens, I could also make it look like a song was playing. I had also added in next song and last song buttons, and connected up all of these pages on the prototype settings.
Because I wanted to be able to play the songs from my opening and playlist screens as well, I had to create multiple copies of these screens to play the different songs as well.
As an added little feature, on the queue adding pages, I added in a little "Added To Queue!" popup, that shows briefly when you hit the add button. I also added a "Added To Playlist!" Button, for when you hit this button on the playing pages.
For the playing screens, I wanted to have a visual effect for when the song was playing as well, so I created a new component sequence, that would fade in and out whilst the song played, as a visual representation of when the song was playing. I also wanted to make the centre image spin, so that's what I worked on in today's class.
I added in a new component, and changed the images to rotate, and replaced these with the playing screens that Ii already had. After this, I created a duplicate of each open screen, so that I could change between them to play the current song on the different pages.
I also changed my upload icons into repeat icons as I thought that this would look better, and I could also add in more playing screens, to repeat the song, and leave the original screens to only play once.
In today's second lesson, I was continuing to work on the design for my monster in Blender.
Since the last lesson, I had done a little bit of work on my model, by resizing the head that I had started to create, and moved it to sit at the top of the spine, which I also had to slightly scale down on the Z-Axis, to fit the size of the model better.
I then copied this method, but without removing the centre faces, to create a normal bone, and duplicated this, pointing one end to create a knife-like hand structure. I duplicated and rotated the arm parts that I had created to create a second arm, and moved everything to resemble arm shapes. To connect these arms To the main body, I then added in a new UV-Sphere and reshaped it into a pebble shape and duplicated this, rotating them both and placing them above the ribs and arms, to resemble shoulder joints.
