13/11/23 - App On Phone And Ace Review

In today's first lesson, I was continuing to work on my app design.

As I had been working on this throughout the week, I was organizing my pages so that they were easier to see and work with, as they were a bit all over the place where I'd been creating them.

I also then had to make sure that all of my Search pages had working search components, to make it look like it works.

After this, I downloaded the Figma app onto my phone, so that I could see what it looked like on an actual phone, rather than just the Prototype on my laptop screen. By doing this, I realised that I'd rather change the frame size that I[d been working on from IPhone 8 Plus, to IPhone 13/14, otherwise on my phone, there was a black bar across the top and bottom of the screen, as the prototype size was smaller than the phone screen. I didn't like this, to I changed it to fit better.

I also realised that I had some of my interactions set to when key pressed, however I realised that my phone didn't have a keyboard to do this, so I added in a keyboard interaction to use instead, which I could use on my phone and was much better for my design.

In the second lesson, I was writing up my ACE Academic Reflection. This was a 500 word review on how I found our afternoon at ACE.

I wrote about how I felt the day went and what we covered whilst we were there, as well as including some of the feedback that we had received on our performances, so that it was noticeable that I'd read my feedback and responded to it.
