27/04/23 - Three Screen Piece Work

In today's lesson, I was able to finally start working on my Three Screen Piece.

As I had filmed the footage that I needed to be able to edit my video together over the previous weekend, I began the lesson by creating a new project within Davinci Resolve, and importing all of these clips into the Media Pool of this project. I then had to create 4 new timelines within this project, three of which would be the video for each screen, and the fourth would be a Master Timeline, where I would place the other three timelines into. In this timeline, I had to resize and move the videos, so that I could see all three clips being played together as I edited them separately.

Throughout the lesson, I then went through each timeline, adding in the clips from the Media Pool, and placing them into where I thought looked good within the video. I had to keep referring back to the Master Timeline though, as sometimes I needed to make sure that the clips in different timelines were lining up with each other, to play ate the same time. I also used Pixabay - A Copyright free music website, and found some music that I wanted to play in the background of my video, as the original sound from the videos was mostly wind and not very clear.

07/12/23 - HTML And Figma Alterations

In today's lesson, we covered a more in depth overview of  the HTML coding language as a follow up from last week's lesson. We looked at html tags again, as a recap, and then went on to write our own basic html code in the notepad app. We then learnt about the different tags to change text to be bold and italicized, as well as how to highlight and sub/superscript text. After this, we learnt about character codes, and how to add links and images into our web pages. Following this, we looked into lists and tables, and finished off the work with how to comment on your code. After this, we were allowed to just work on whatever work we needed to do. For this, I was editing my Figma app, to add in a time and Wi-Fi, service, and battery icons. After I'd added these in, I had to slightly rearrange parts of my pages to all fit in better. 10/01/24 - Final Game Session

In today's lesson, I was working on my literature review, as I was for most of yesterday as well after receiving feedback within my morning tutorial. I was finding new sources to reference and add into my work, so that I could discuss the work of different people over many similar topics. However I then had the issue that I was way too far over the 1500 wordcount that I was supposed to be following, so I had to go through my previous work, and cut out or re-word sections that I felt were not as necessary for the overall message that I was trying to get across. In between my writing, I would go and see how the game finalisations were coming along, as Spike was getting ready to export the final game after fixing a couple of small bugs that we had found.

08/01/24 - Presentation, App Updates And Game Run-through

In today's first lesson, I was finishing off my presentation. Although I only had a couple of pages left to finish, I needed to ask some questions on how to complete these sections as I wanted to make them as accurate as possible. I then thought of another feature to add to my app, which was a premium membership subscription, so I had to create another page to represent google, as when you press the button it will open a new google page to buy a membership.  I added a few different options for the membership, so that people can feel like they have options, and even added in a student discount option so that students with a lower or no income feel like they are getting a good deal and will be more likely to buy the membership.
