03/11/22 - Sound Work Day 2

In today's lesson, we continued to work on our sound pieces. We opened up our Premier Pro files that we transferred our sound recordings into, and began to play around with them to create a sequence of sounds that we thought sounded like an interesting mashup. We were also able to add in some interesting sound effects and transitions to make these sequences sound better

We then transferred this sequence of sounds into Adobe Audition, where we could look at our work through both Wave Forms, and Multitrack variants, which allowed us to tone down our sounds, to play at less than 100%, as well as allow us to add in some more sound changing effects, which allowed us to improve on our work.

After class, we then watched Inception, we watched this to look at the scenes and camera angles, but also to listen to the background music, to understand how it was used to enhance the feelings and emotions within the scenes, as well as listening out
for and Foley sound, that we learnt about in yesterday's lesson.

07/12/23 - HTML And Figma Alterations

In today's lesson, we covered a more in depth overview of  the HTML coding language as a follow up from last week's lesson. We looked at html tags again, as a recap, and then went on to write our own basic html code in the notepad app. We then learnt about the different tags to change text to be bold and italicized, as well as how to highlight and sub/superscript text. After this, we learnt about character codes, and how to add links and images into our web pages. Following this, we looked into lists and tables, and finished off the work with how to comment on your code. After this, we were allowed to just work on whatever work we needed to do. For this, I was editing my Figma app, to add in a time and Wi-Fi, service, and battery icons. After I'd added these in, I had to slightly rearrange parts of my pages to all fit in better. 10/01/24 - Final Game Session

In today's lesson, I was working on my literature review, as I was for most of yesterday as well after receiving feedback within my morning tutorial. I was finding new sources to reference and add into my work, so that I could discuss the work of different people over many similar topics. However I then had the issue that I was way too far over the 1500 wordcount that I was supposed to be following, so I had to go through my previous work, and cut out or re-word sections that I felt were not as necessary for the overall message that I was trying to get across. In between my writing, I would go and see how the game finalisations were coming along, as Spike was getting ready to export the final game after fixing a couple of small bugs that we had found.

08/01/24 - Presentation, App Updates And Game Run-through

In today's first lesson, I was finishing off my presentation. Although I only had a couple of pages left to finish, I needed to ask some questions on how to complete these sections as I wanted to make them as accurate as possible. I then thought of another feature to add to my app, which was a premium membership subscription, so I had to create another page to represent google, as when you press the button it will open a new google page to buy a membership.  I added a few different options for the membership, so that people can feel like they have options, and even added in a student discount option so that students with a lower or no income feel like they are getting a good deal and will be more likely to buy the membership. In today's second lesson, I was continuing to work on this presentation and app page, as our game group is basically finished and I can't really contribute much else for completion.
