25/04/23 - Continuing Work And Filming

Image
For today's lesson, although we were not actually in class again, we still had to work to get all of our work completely finished. For most of the day, I was able to continue working on my game, until I once again reached a point where I would need to get some help in class the following Friday. I then was finally able to go outside and film all of the scenes that I felt that I might need for my three screen piece. This would allow me to finally start editing it all together.

21/04/23 - Game Work

Image
In today's lesson, we were all continuing to work on our games. I was able to get some help within this class to fix some of the problems that I had been facing, which then allowed me to continue on with everything else. By the end of this lesson, I had a functioning bow and arrow within my game, although the arrows could not hit and stick in anything yet, they were just able to be fired from the bow.

20/04/23 - Continuing Work

In today's lesson, we were continuing to work on whatever we needed to get done for our submission date. I worked on my game for the day, as I did not yet have to footage I needed filmed for my three screen piece, and everything else was finished, so I just continued to work through the tutorials that I had been following, and tried to fix the issues that I'd been having with some of the code.

18/04/23 - Continuing Work

For today's lesson, although we were not in class, we still had to continue working on all of our work that we needed to complete. During the morning, I worked on my Theory Essay, editing it based on the last pieces of feedback that I had received, so that I felt it was good enough to hand in on the due date of the following Monday. After this, I then continued working on my game, as I still had quite a bit left to complete on it, before it is ready for submission. I continued following along with the tutorials that I had been learning from, and worked up until I reached a point where I couldn't get it to work and needed some extra help in class. I then created a storyboard for my three screen piece, so that I knew roughly when footage I needed to collect, and how to edit it together, to make the idea that I had come up with.

15/04/23 - Easter Break Work

Image
Over the Easter Break, I continued to work through everything that I had been working on within my classes.  To begin with,  worked on my game, and created a new bow design for my game that I preferred the look of, as I had gained skills within Blender, and believed that I could create a better design that I was more happy with. I also managed to find a way to export all of my Blender creations into Unity, whilst being able to keep all of the textures that I had added in to my designs. I then also  finished my Animated story, adding in the remaining scenes with the symbols that I had created, and made sure that I had working 'Next' buttons, that when clicked on, would skip to the next scene, and for the last scene, would return to the first scene. I also went through all of my scenes, and added in some animations for the characters within them. I also worked through the remaining DaVinci Fairlight videos, so that I was more capable at using the DaVinci Resolve software, s...

30&31/03/23 - Arduino Work

Image
In these day's lessons, we were learning about Arduinos, and what they can be used for. We were able to wire up some Arduinos and work on the code to make a light flash on and off on it. We also worked on some code to create a distance recorder with a sensor connected to the Arduino. With this, we were also able to alter the sensor, so that as something became closer or further away, the sensor would make a noise that changed tones, based on the distance.

28/03/23 - DaVinci Work

In today's lesson, I continued to work through the DaVinci Resolve tutorial videos, to improve my skills within the software. I started working through the Fairlight Page of the software, which focuses more on the audio side of video editing, rather than the video editing work. This was quite interesting, as I got to learn more about how to line up and edit audio files to match with video.
